Robin Mink, CTP
I’ve been a CTP since 1991. I’m always very proud to tell everybody that because I’m one of the early CTP earners. It’s something to be very proud of. So I always encourage people to do that.
It gives you confidence in your knowledge. It also shows to others that you’ve taken that extra time. They look at you as more of an expert in that area.
I’ve worked at some employers that require it and some that did not. And the reason they wanted to require it was because of the credibility factor. Especially if you’re a banker and you’re calling on corporate practitioners, you want to feel like you know what you’re talking about. When you’re meeting a corporate practitioner, the first thing they think if you’re a CTP is exactly that. They’re going to see that credibility.
